The Creation of My Fairy Doors

One Day the Wee Folk came to me and commented on how plain and ordinary their house doors were. I told them that I would try and do something for them. And so I began creating unique Fairy Doors that reflected the personality of the Door’s resident. I begin with a cardboard core and then apply, with thin glue, several layers of crinkled tissue paper to achieve the leather or wood effect. Paint and embellishments are added from there. Latest Fairy Doors

After a short break to tend to family and yard, I have two new Fairy Doors to offer. The first is entitled 'Home Sweet Home'. A witch who loves her home lives here, as the wreath hanging on the door proclaims. Her broom is parked outside the door along with two pumpkins freshly picked from the pumpkin patch. A spider who lives over her door enjoys watching the world go by.
